The characteristics and functions of magnesium anode:
Magnesium anode, also known as magnesium alloy anode, magnesium sacrifice anode, used in cathodic protection system, is an important equipment and material to prevent electrochemical corrosion. It is characterized by small density, large theoretical capacitance, negative potential, low susceptibility, large driving voltage of steel (& GT; 0.6V), suitable for the protection of metal components in high resistivity soil and fresh water.
Classification of magnesium anodes:
According to the different production process is mainly divided into casting anode and extrusion anode;
According to the use of different mainly divided into water heater anode and engineering anode;
According to the different shapes are divided into bar, ribbon, D type, S type, opposites and so on;
According to the different material is mainly divided into AZ63, AZ31, AZ91 and other anodes.
Application of magnesium anode:
Generally used D, S type anodes are mainly used in soil environment, ribbon anodes are mainly used in high resistivity soil, fresh water and local occasions with narrow space, as engineering anodes; Rod anodes are commonly used for corrosion protection in electric water heaters and boilers.
